happy easter!
i was so blessed this morning at church.
there was lots to be blessed by... worship was heartfelt and rockin'. the choir was awesome and just lifted the praise that much higher. the carew family sang 'my chains are gone' by chris tomlin. mike & jamie sang a song called 'ready to believe'. our pastor spoke of 'His incomparable resurrection'. it was all glorious. Jesus, my risen Saviour, was exalted and lifted high.
but it was the words of a media* that truly broke me. (it's funny. everyone's so different and it amazes me how God speaks to each one of us.) the folks in the media were talking about what Christ meant to them, and Easter and the fact that Jesus was now their Friend...they were found. but the lady at the end said, "the tomb may be empty, but my heart is FULL." and that - well, THAT there sums it all up for me. my heart is so very FULL.
i'm so thankful for the cross and the fact - FACT - that Jesus was willing to pay the price of my sin...and die the ulimate death. because He did what He said He would do - rise from the dead - i have the ultimate hope. i have the hope of eternal salvation. the hope for all my tomorrows. that nothing is impossible for God. that i can have this same power in my own life.
this day changes everything.
i was also blessed today by coming home and finding a link to this new rob bell video on a friend's facebook wall...
enjoy. and happy easter.
*the clip is called 'alive', but i can't upload it (copyright laws). you can view it and then download your own copy, for about $20, here.

the last of the snow, maple candy and fun with cousins
it's no secret that joe & i consider saturday a very sacred day in our home. it's the day that we actually LEAVE our home... ;) ...and head down to grammy's. well, this day was especially sweet (pun intended) because SPRING IS HERE!!! :)))
L O V E this one of joe & josiah. sniffffffffff.
the last of the snow. one last time down the hill. :(
aaron & heather make maple syrup every year. they tap between 12-15 trees.
where's waldo?! er, i mean...where's daisy?! ;)
playin' with a little DOF.
the BEST part. mmmmm....maple candy...
uncle aaron showed the kids where the sap to make maple syrup comes from! this doesn't get old! so very cool!!!
love how josiah's following jack here...and you can just make out jack's tail. :)
it's such a blessing to know that my kids are able to grow up knowing their cousins! i pray they turn out to be the best of friends... :)
the BIG HOUSE. sigh.
what do YOU consider a sacred day or activity in your family??! do tell!!!
